uh... i jaywalked at this same exact intersection just last week. no lie. i didn't want to. i wanted to take the bridge, but my colleague (who will remain nameless) peer pressured me into it. well, i am lucky because this clearly could've happened to me.
another quote: "hey, did you get the part on camera when he hurt-" "-where he socked her? i saw that *%#%!"

Boo what happened to the video? What was the terms of use violation?
i think the problem was the video was from komonews... or kiro... here it is again, until it gets pulled down again.
I'm kind of on the cop's side on this one. Not that people should be punched in the face. But, that chick was very out of line and physically interfered with the cop and it could have created a more dangerous situation..
Or, maybe it's my crush on Vick Mackey talking.
yeah, the girl in pink was really out of pocket. but i think if this was to ever go before a jury, the cop wouldn't get convicted of anything other than looking kinda stupid in the 1st degree. my point of contention is this: what is wrong that this cop cannot seem to restrain this girl? and i wonder if this is really the best use of community resources - chasing down some jaywalker that ignores you and dragging her back across the street to your cop car to cuff her. there is a 9 minute version that's posted on the web as well, and it shows him cuff the girl in pink also - and he doesn't even have a second pair of cuffs. wow. and finally, a ton of cops show up the get the situation under control. i guess our city aint so bad if this is what the men in blue are fighting against.
Update: I heard the cop met with the girl & she apologized. I don't think the officer will lose his job but he has been re-assigned.
