me and my mom

my favorite picture of me and my mom - taken about 1976. notice the bicentennial celebration shirt that i am wearing. i think we were licking stamps for a fund raising campaign. i was the only one not in school yet, so me and my mom had lots of adventures like these back in the drama-filled, fast-paced days of '76. we jetted around LA like bonnie and clyde. there was no end to the action, thrills, and excitement.

oh, i want a photo like that of me and my mother. sadly my mother was no political activist and it was never just her and me. that's what i get for being one of the oldest, i guess.

plus - super cool t-shirt! you're a lucky guy.

Joy, you look so adorable so innocent and just enjoying the moment. I see that more with your young picture. You always want to do what is right and you treat people nice too. That is the Joy I came to know and respect. Monsavanh and I do everything together too but with shopping hehe j/k. We do service together.
P.S. i'll never forget the first trip to thailand and laos. sorry you never got to buy your suit there because all my money was stolen and you didn't have to but u paid for me the rest of the trip there w/your own money that u were saving for that wonderful handmade suit and after u said u never wanted the suit anyways but i know u did cause u talked about it a lot before the trip. that's just the kind of person u are. i'll never forget that.i owe u big!

thank you for the nice comments maly. (and the suit was not a big deal - i finally got one on a subsequent trip, and because it was tailored to fit me perfectly, it fit me too perfectly... and its too tight and i never have liked it. so thank YOU for delaying my misery for 2 years. ha ha!)

c'mon, stalk you? who is reading whose blog?

I never appreciated your "adorable-ness" when I had the chance!! Oh well, better late than never!!!

sometimes a kid is so cute, you just wanna smack em upside the head...
so maybe that explains all the beatings? hehehe.

Did your mom call you joey? You look like a little joey-poo. I can't believe how curly your hair was. I am still giggling. Even now, after reading all the comments. You are just too adorable for words.

hecks no...

i have always been joseph...

joey? i don't think so... joey poo? wow... this is really getting bad. i am about to delete that picture forever.

Don't forget "Joseephus." And I think we sometimes called you "Joji" if I remember correctly.
I think a "joey" is a baby kangaroo. That would have suited you, tee hee.

don't start with me on this... cause it's gonna get ugly... luckily, by this stage in the game, everyone has stopped reading the comments of a post this old.

I know no one is reading these comments anymore except me and notsonutso, but when you are stuck in Canada with missionary parents with nothing to do, you go back and read all sorts of things you missed during hectic days leading up to long trips and just after long trips. I think Joseephus is a much more fitting name for the boy of curly locks. I may never be able to call you plain old Joseph again. We shall see.

i don't really have a problem with josephus - i mean, he was a man with some literary clout, but the joji thing is pretty far gone. and i don't think that name was ever applied to me.

Excuse me?????????? I beg to differ, J O J I !!!!

Just ask Sarah or Becca. They will help you remember !!

Are things getting ugly yet??

If so, I have succeeded! Hee Hee.
